BLACKPOOL FROM THE INSIDE Vol 4

Since the 1920s specially illuminated 'Feature' trams have been built and operated during the famous Blackpool Autumn Illuminations.

The last ones, built in the 1960s, operated for over forty years before being withdrawn. However at the start of the Millenium a decision was taken to rebuild one of them 'HMS Blackpool' aka The Frigate.

Car 736 started life as a Pantograph car in 1928 and this DVD covers a brief history; full details of its 1960s construction and then the complete strip down and replacement of its wooden and plywood body.

Also included are scenes of its Launch Day and its first Public Tour of The Lights
