SAN FRANCISCO part 2

With the upgrade to subway under Market for MUNI the streetcars very nearly became a thing of the past in 1982 but due to local initiation and foresight they returned and have now become a great symbol and part of San Francisco's transport scene.

In this DVD we view the 'F' line area by area from the Castro to Fishermans Wharf and also its modern history. In total 22 out of the fleet of 32 individually painted PCCs are seen in service along with a couple of their Vintage cars. We then look at some of the interesting aspects of the MUNI Metro system and various street scene views.

Finally we take a late night grippermans view ride on the Bay and Taylor Street Cable Car line and end with some scenes of the PCC cars at night.
